Harry Potter Studios

First of all; sorry for the lack of posting. I decided to take a well deserved break from absolutely everything for the Christmas holidays. But Christmas is pretty much over now (sigh), and we’re in that horrible limbo where we’re all just eagerly waiting for the New Year. So I thought I’d get some posts in to keep everyone entertained through these boring few days before the partying begins again.

A few weeks ago I got a chance to go visit Harry Potter Studios (with their Christmas theme. Ho,ho,ho. Or is it too late?) as part of my college course, in learning what happened throughout pre-production, production, and post-production in order to make this movie. It was a real big eye opener to really see how much work did indeed go into making the incredible franchise what it is. Each tile in Greengotts bank was individually painted… I can’t even imagine how long that must have taken.

The special effects and art departments were my absolute favourite though. Seeing how all the monsters looked like before the effects were added onto it in the editing… seeing all the incredibly detailed drawings the art department made in designing buildings, and what the creatures would look like. It really is astounding to see how many people were involved in the work of it, and I admire them a lot, because the movies are really something to be proud of.

Without further or do, though, here is my small selection of the photos I took during the tour!
