It’s been a while so I thought I’d share with you what’s going on with me while also showing you some photos I’ve taken recently.
This month had been extremely busy for me. I’ve been deeply focused in my college work for the most part. We’re doing radio production at the moment, and a lot of it at the moment is analysing different radio shows and writing reports on them. It’s a bore but it needs to be done. I also recently found out that I got a Distinction in my advertising assignment, which is pretty damn cool as I’ve been looking into advertising courses at different universities. I’ve really taken to UCLAN (University of Lancashire) but it’s early days on that front so we’ll see how it goes.
I’ve also been helping my mum out a lot. She works night shifts so whenever she does, I’m responsible for doing a sort of dog daddy daycare. She takes refuge in my room/bed for the night and I’m responsible for her two daily walks and so on. She’s actually working tonight, and I have to take in the grocery delivery from Tesco’s… which we’ve scheduled for 8pm-9pm because it’s a cheap slot, but also means I’m having an eternal struggle whether I’d be okay answering the door in my pyjamas or not.
More notably, my mum got a new car last week, which was freaking amazing. She hasn’t driven a car for 20 years, which if you’re good at maths means she hadn’t been driving for my whole life. So it is super weird to be seeing her in the driving seat all of a sudden. I also had my first driving lesson last week, which was super scary. We covered the basic starts and stops on all sorts of different terrains, and the instructor even made me drive back from Findon, where he had taken me for my lesson, back to my house. I had to drive across duel carriage ways and busy roundabouts on my first lesson so I was kind of freaked out, but also proud of myself because I made it. And now I am literally biting at the bit for my next lesson. Safe to say I like driving, despite it scaring me a little.
Anyway since mum can drive now, we decided to take our dog out somewhere new for a walk. We took her to Houghton park which is just outside of Bury in West Sussex. And just like I do on most adventures like these, I brought my little camera along to take some photos. So here are my select favourites (woodlands is my new aesthetic).
So that’s it! If you’re ever near Houghton and have a camera, I suggest you go check it out. It really made some great shots for me (though I am in no way a good photographer, really, I just like playing about with my camera and photoshop). I’ve already started writing on few other blog posts… one of them is particularly long and sort of serious, which is something I try not to be on this blog too much, but I feel like it’s a good idea to make the post. You’ll see what I’m on about very soon. Until then I have another few things to do. Like go out on Saturday night for my cousin’s birthday… I am going to die. Wish me luck!
